“’The Inventor’. We watched the film. My main takeaway was we talked about the erasure of Black inventors throughout history and how they weren’t credited for things that they invented just because of their race. And we talked about allyship and how to move forward now to make sure that people get credit for things that they invented.”

“’Should Jesuit Universities go on service immersion and service trips.’ My main takeaway was that the whole idea of the white savior and North American savior complex. White and North American savior complex is so much deeper than you would think. It’s much more than just not being ignorant or being considerate. It’s more so about [how] you really have to evaluate your own intentions behind it. And the idea –– the fact –– of changing your intentions is much more of an active process than you think.’’
