What’s Happening in Philadelphia: Trying to find something to do this week? From sports concerts to plays to sports games, check out what’s happening in Philadelphia the week of Dec. 6-12.

Andrea Bocelli concert

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli comes to Philadelphia Dec. 7 at the Wells Fargo Center. The concert starts at 8 p.m., but the doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.

George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker”

The Kimmel Cultural Campus presents George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker” starting Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Academy of Music at the Kimmel Cultural Campus. Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster and the Kimmel Cultural Campus website. You can also check the community rush page on the Kimmel Cultural Campus website each Monday for discounted tickets using the code “RUSH.”

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Atlanta Hawks

The Philadelphia 76ers take on the Atlanta Hawks Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster and the official NBA website.

St. Joe’s Hawks vs. Villanova Wildcats

St. Joe’s Hawks women’s basketball team takes on the Villanova Wildcats Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Hagan Arena. Tickets are available for purchase on St. Joe’s basketball website.

Hawkappella winter concert

St. Joe’s Hawkappella will perform their winter concert Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. at Cardinal Foley. The group will be singing acappella arrangements of hits like “People Watching,” “Cruel Summer” and “Blame it on the Boogie,” and there will be treats at intermission. The event is free for all.
