Culture Shock held their annual spring Cultural Fusion event April 14 in the Athletic/Recreation Center (ARC) multipurpose room.

Culture Shock is an inclusive dance group on the University City campus that aims to showcase different aspects of Afro Caribbean culture as a way to educate members of the community about other cultures.

Their Cultural Fusion event is a chance for Culture Shock and other dance organizations on campus to showcase their talents and perform the dances they have choreographed throughout the year.

“We hope to provide a community to people on this campus, and we do that through dance, through food and activities,” said Kezia Odamtten ’25, president of Culture Shock. “We’re just here to be a voice for the Afro Caribbean people and be a safe place for them as well.”
