Free Period: If you were around during free period on Thursday (and really, the whole world was), then you noticed that it was phenomenally busy with activities, students, and sunshine. The former first daughter visited campus to campaign for her mother and stop by Alpha Phi and Lambda Chi Alpha's philanthropy event. There were Brazilian musicians and performers who wowed the campus with their amazing talent, and the drums they played could be heard all the way to the Fieldhouse, where those trying to find a career at a non-profit organization were handing out their resumes and shaking hands. Everywhere you walked on campus, there was something to see and music to be heard. There are still four free periods left, and we're just curious how anybody is going to be able to top Thursday's 90-minute extravaganza. Because you were filled with intercultural-ness, politician's daughters, Greeks, dunk tanks, career fairs, and blue skies … congratulations free period, you're having the best week ever!
Short Skirts: Yes, it's that time again: Spring has sprung! Everyone is outside just trying to get a taste of the first sunshine they've seen in months. Although our allergies are going a little haywire, that's not stopping the female student population from putting away the sweaters and pulling out the short skirts. Now remember, some of us may have packed on a few pounds (from the excess amount of beer, Larry's, and cafe food). So, let's be conscious of this when we put on the old super short jean mini. Because it's the season to bring you back … congratulations short skirts, you're having the best week ever!
Shenanigans: So, you'd think with three diverse commercial artists and The Quelle Source for a little appetizer that everyone would leave the annual Spring Concert as happy campers. However, it just wouldn't be a St. Joe's event without a rowdy kid throwing something at the stage. When a student decided to make a bad decision and upset Trey Songz, he got in quite a bit of trouble with Trey's bodyguards. From what we've heard (although the St. Joe's rumor mill isn't exactly a credible source) the kid who admitted to throwing things at Mr. Songz was "taken out back and given a little beating." Because you were the only story that came out of the Spring Concert … congratulations shenanigans, you're having the best week ever.
The Cast of Chicago: All that jazz is right! These guys and girls can kick, twirl, and belt at the top of their lungs. We're not sure if you all are art fanatics, but this was great theater. Don't worry though, you can see your fellow students dance through all the musical drama next weekend too! Because you made us want to say "don't you wish people would burst out into song normally?" … congratulations cast of Chicago, you're having the best week ever!
