Don't worry Hand in Hand, we'll be your friends, but who's having the best week ever?!
Strep: It makes you feel like you're carrying rocks around in your throat, you have a fever of 102 degrees, and you honestly don't know if you can move when you wake up in the morning. That's right-it's strep, and it's ravaging campus. If you're not on penicillin, your roommate probably is. People usually get sick when the weather changes from warm to cold, but on St. Joe's campus we've got streptococcus running rampant through the students during the spring time. Because you're causing 7 billion throat cultures a day in the Health Center … congratulations strep, you're having the best week ever!
Not being funny: It was April Fool's Day and people were playing pranks, but there was one thing that wasn't laughable: St. Joe's annual parody paper. This past Tuesday the Squawk came out. Maybe it was because of the scandal that was caused by last year's edition, but "Bobo Bananasworth" didn't even bring a smile to our faces. In fact, there were a few people we saw around campus crying at their disappointment of The Squawk. Perhaps if they had tapped into the talent of your two favorite journalists (yours truly), they could have had more success. Because The Squawk made you fashionable … congratulations not being funny, you're having the best week ever!
Mulch: It's the beginning of springtime, Hawks! Although the weather does not reflect the season change, there is one thing around campus that lets us know: the smell. Some would describe it as poo, but don't fret, it is not poo at all. Those of you who lack a green thumb, rest assured, the stench is coming from the mulch being laid down in preparation for some spring foliage around campus. Because of your distinctive smell and the strong whiffs we've all been getting… congratulations mulch, you're having the best week ever!
Student Art: We know all you left-brained students over there in Mandeville were thrown for a loop on Monday when the senior art exhibit went up. Suddenly those bare walls were filled with the beautiful work of the senior art majors. The week culminated with not one, but two art openings. Friday evening began with an exhibit of the junior art majors in Boland Hall, and then over to Mandeville for a full-out art fest. Because you are present on campus… congratulations student art, you're having the best week ever!
