Hot or Not?

HOT:
TV is back: It feels like we've been waiting for centuries to catch a new episode of "Grey's" or "Desperate Housewives," but thankfully that dry spell is soon coming to an end. ABC will begin airing the rest of the seasons (pre-writer's strike) episodes beginning on April 14. "The Office" is also going to be making its comeback on NBC tomorrow night, so we can once again savor the drama between Pam, Jim, Michael and Dwight. Although it's been great watching more than our fair share of sub-par reality shows, it'll be nice to finally get back to our old favorites.
Warm Weather: Now that the flip flops have been broken out and people have been sporting shorts and denim skirts around campus, it seems as though spring is finally here. That also means more people hanging out outside and the opening of some fabulous new outdoor nightlife (welcome back Cavanaugh's river deck). To get into the spirit, head over to J.Crew and pick up some brightly colored tees and critter printed shorts to get yourself ready for the end of the school year. If only we could get rid of this rain, it would feel like the real thing for sure.
NOT:
Term Papers: OK, so I understand that a lot of classes have them, but that still doesn't make them any more bearable. Used to measure how much we've learned in a given semester, term papers are a pain with all of the necessary research and the multiple drafts…you get the picture. Unfortunately, we can't do anything to get rid of them, so we'll just have to suffer silently, anxiously waiting for the day that we can turn them in and get them out of our hands.
Fake Parking Spots: Lately when I've been looking for a parking space on campus, I think I see one (score!), go to pull into it and realize that it's been barricaded by a bike rack. I understand that these spaces are being saved for visitors and one or two is fine by me. It's when I start to see entire rows in the Science Center blocked completely that I start to get a little frustrated. We pay a lot of money for parking passes, but sometimes it's just not worth it.
