There is little worry.

Saint Joseph's women's field hockey team found their seat in the Atlantic 10 tournament.

This seat is better than the five seats the seniors will have for graduation.

Saint Joseph's shutout win, 2-0, against LaSalle on Sunday, along with the results of other teams in the conferences, locked a berth for the Hawks in the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship.

The game against the Explorers was Saint Joseph's second straight shutout win. On Friday, the Hawks crushed West Chester, 6-0. In addition, this is the fourth shutout this season for starting goaltender Rebecca Cunfer, '08, on the season. For her entire career, Cunfer has tallied 17 shutouts and is now one behind the school record.

Similar to their prior games against anticipated opponents, the Hawks started the scoring late in the first half. Marisa Pizzi, '09, an agile and quick starting forward, had a soft shot to the cage five yards out off a feed from Jen Wrublesky, '11.

Wrublesky was recently named A-10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. Wrublesky and Explorer Beth Carey are the only two players with multiple honorees this season.

Wrublesky is the leading scorer for the Hawks with 16 points (six goals, four assists). In Friday's game against West Chester, Wrublesky scored twice, and in the most recent contest against La Salle, she assisted on both goals for the shutout.

An aggressive fielder with quick stick and foot work, Wrublesky works well with veteran players on the team and is learning the dynamic work habits of head coach Michelle Finegan.

In the second half of the La Salle game, Wrublesky again made her presence known when she passed to teammate Krista Bordogna, '09, for the tap-in goal against La Salle goalie Ellen Axelsen.

LaSalle did not stop the offensive pressure, despite being down by two goals, tallying five shots in the second period but still failing to find the back of the net.

Cunfer is the obvious standout on defense, but without the workings of Brianne Miller, '09, Emily Micir, '10, and Brooke Henry, '08, Saint Joseph's would find themselves with a sub-.500 record.

Currently 9-7 overall and 4-2 in the A-10, Saint Joseph's will play Villanova on Tuesday night at Villanova.
