Saint Joseph's University men's basketball coach Phil Martelli appeared at Drexel Library on Monday, Oct. 8 for his first on-campus signing of his new book "Don't Call Me Coach: A Lesson Plan for Life."
The book signing is Martelli's second thus far, following an appearance at the Collingswood Book Festival on Oct. 6.
There are several other appearances scheduled for Martelli: at the Barnes & Noble in Rittenhouse Square on Oct. 17 and Borders in Wynnewood on Nov. 4. On-campus signings will be held prior to "Midnight Madness" on Oct. 19 and at the Bookstore on Dec. 13.
The book, which is co-written by Martelli and Harold Gullan, Ph.D., uses Martelli's experiences on the sidelines in his prolific career to outline a 10-point plan.
This idea, his "lesson plan for life," is applicable for people of all ages on and off the basketball court.
