"Good Luck Chuck," starring Dane Cook and Jessica Alba, opened in theaters on Friday Sept. 21. The movie was directed by Mark Helfrich, produced by Lionsgate, and written by Josh Stolberg and Steve Glenn. Helfrich couldn't have picked a better actress than Jessica Alba to play the role of a goofy, funny, and clumsy girl, and Dane Cook did a superb job of playing a character that resembled a "player" at first, but then seemed to have won the audience's hearts over by the end of the movie.

Charlie Logan (Cook) rejects a goth girl when he is just a young boy, so in revenge, the girl puts a hex on him so he will never love, and every girl he is with will always find their true love after being with him. The hex is at first taken as a joke and forgotten about, but as time goes on, it looks to be truer and truer. Charlie even experiments with the hex, by putting it to the test.

He then meets Cam Wexler (Alba) who he feels he could really fall in love with. There's just one problem-the hex. You'll have to see for yourself if Charlie gets the girl of his dreams, or lets the hex take control, leaving Charlie never to find love for the rest of his life.

Don't believe that this movie is just like all the other romantic comedies you have seen. The storyline is definitely different from all the others. Trust me, Charlie unquestionably has a very unique best friend, Stu, played by Dan Fogler. I can guarantee his character is like no other. Fortunately, Stu is not the only unique character in the movie. Each character has something different that you will not see anywhere else.

Watch this very comical movie and laugh your way through the whole thing. It is the ideal date movie-the guys get their comedy, while girls get a little bit of laughter and romance-the perfect combo. Also, if you see this movie, definitely remember to stay an extra five minutes for the rolling credits. You will be in for a surprise without a doubt, whether you find it funny or just plain weird.

If you've got the time and/or the money, go see "Good Luck Chuck," a different type of romantic comedy that you will not regret watching.
