HOT:
"O.C." Ya Later: Thursday night marked the series finale of the popular show that put Newport Beach, CA on the map.
All loose ends were tied up, and although there were no shockers or cliff hangers (it was obvious that Seth and Summer were going to end up together), the show settled everything nicely, especially given the fact that they were cancelled only a few weeks ago.
Even though I was satisfied with the finale, I couldn't help but wish for a little bit more of the drama for which the show was notorious. I mean, come on, Julie Cooper staying amicable with the man she left at the altar and the other man that impregnated her? I guess times have changed, and all good things must come to an end.
Spring Break: Despite the massive amounts of work that professors are doling out this week, one thing is on everyone's minds: spring break. Whether you're going to the Bahamas, Miami, or Paris, clearly, preparation for your trip has become your number one priority.
Free period has turned into a quick stop at King of Prussia Mall for a new outfit to wear on the plane, people are using their class absences to fake bake at Hollywood Tans (I've seen more men in there this week than I have in my life), and every spare minute is spent packing, unpacking, and then repacking suitcases, in an attempt to fit everything inside.
Just remember: what happens on spring break doesn't always stay on spring break (making out with that guy in your Bio class may seem like a great idea, but once you get back to campus, not so much). Be safe, try not to make too many bad decisions and most importantly, have fun!
NOT:
Britney Spears (AGAIN): She's absolutely everywhere and not in a good way. After being photographed with her newly buzzed 'do, wielding an umbrella, and seemingly smacking the side of an SUV, it's pretty clear that this former pop tart has lost her mind.
She's back in rehab for the third time in two weeks and hopefully she's there to stay. Although it's unclear whether she's doing it for attention, to make the paparazzi leave her alone, or simply because she's lost her mind, somebody needs to do something, and fast!
I love Britney, not Sinead O'Connor. Even though I will not be purchasing her chopped locks (whoever is responsible for that is a sick, sick person), it would be nice to have the old Brit back. With hair would be a plus.
Not so hot weather: The weather has been crazy the past two weeks. It started out with icy slush and snow covering the roads and sidewalks, with temperatures dipping down into the frigid single digits.
Giant coats, gloves, hats and scarves were being utilized as people attempted to stay warm in the cold. The past few days have been mild, sunny and warm enough (well, not really), for a few guys to sport mesh shorts around campus.
So what's the deal with the weather? Hopefully these changes signal the end of winter and will usher in spring temps, but, as we all know, Mother Nature (and global warming) has been known to do some wacky things.
