Last Thursday at halftime during the Men's basketball game against Saint Louis, Saint Joseph's Univserity students participated in the semi-finals of the Atlantic 10 Shootout.
For the night, Meghan Cullinan and Jontell Lyons, sophomores at Saint Joseph's, became this year's women champions of the A-10 Shootout.
Joining them in the men's competition are Kevin Milazzo and James O'Donoghue. The co-ed team that is heading to Atlantic City is Lyons and Laz Pineda.
By virtue of their accomplishment, they have earned the honor of representing the university at next month's Shootout Championships.
The competition culminates the Atlantic 10 Men's Tournament, where the winning teams from each of the schools within the conference will seek their success and bring home the $10,000 first prize that goes along with it.
The A-10 Tournament is being held from March 7-10 in Atlantic City this year.
To all the winners from Saint Joseph's, The Hawk congratulates you and offers you best wishes in the A-10 Shootout Championship.
