Jenna Loschiavo was brought to Hawk Hill with high expectations.

She was welcomed with open arms by the women's basketball program as they prepared to take the next step after an exciting 2005-06 campaign.

As a two time All - American Honorable Mention in high school, Loshiavo is the most talented recruit to play in the Fieldhouse in recent years, and has fully embraced life at St. Joe's.

Her sense of humor and deadly three point accuracy have been assets throughout her young career in Philadelphia, one that teammates, coaches, and fans all believe will be a great one.

After starting for four consecutive seasons in high school, Loschiavo had to adjust during her freshman season playing for the Hawks, as she started in only one of 29 regular season games.

Despite playing in her first reserve role, she proved her worth as a player, quickly picking up Head Coach Cindy Griffin's system, and displaying flashes of her acclaimed scoring ability in her debut season.

Playing with AAU teammate, current roommate, and long time friend Mary Kate McDade, Loschiavo is part of a talented, young core that has brought both hope and excitement to the team.

Loschiavo says that this season is a vast improvement from the last, and her dedication grabbed her a starting spot

The Hawks managed some impressive victories already this season, the most important of which came against the arch - rival Villanova Wildcats at the Fieldhouse.

Despite playing from behind in the second half, the Hawks managed to string together a series of impressive runs in the second half, highlighted by a three pointer from Loschiavo to put St. Joe's ahead by two.

Again trailing in the second half against Boston College, the team looked to Loschiavo to help fight back from a six point deficit.

Consecutive three pointers followed on the Hawks' next two possessions, tying the game and propelling the team to a monumental victory over a talented Big East opponent.
