Letter: Bookstore used to be something

To the editor:
As an Alumnus ('80) I find it discouraging to find an inadequate bookstore operation. When I was attending SJU and the bookstore was under the University's domain, there was so much more to the bookstore. Now it has become a new symbol of outsourcing and uninterested support of the alumni and current students. The items you could purchase has dropped drastically, you cannot find a quarter of the items other major university bookstores carry for their alumni and student body. It is a shame you cannot even find a golf umbrella with the Hawks logo on it. For those of us who like to wear and show our Hawk pride it is becoming more difficult with the current situation.
