The REC office is busily preparing for the A-10 ShootOut, which will take place on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1.
The A-10 ShootOut is a basketball shooting competition in which teams of two take each other on by shooting from different spots on the floor. Each spot is worth a different point value.
There is a Men's, Women's, and Co-Rec division. Any student at Saint Joseph's can compete, even the Division I athletes.
The only students that cannot participate are those men and women on the University's basketball teams.
The top teams from the preliminary shoot out will move on to compete during half time of the Men's basketball game against Saint Louis.
The winners from each division will then go to Atlantic City to compete against the winner of the A-10 Conference schools for the $10,000 grand prize.

Don't worry if would like to participate and don't have a partner! The ShootOut committee will set you up with one.
Last year, the winning Co-Rec team from Charlotte was placed together by the A-10 committee.
Sign-ups are open from now until Jan. 22.
The entry fee is $30 per team. You can pick up the registration information in the REC office.
