What makes us different from everyone else?

What separates us from the rest?

If you could choose us or them, who would you choose?

We got Cornish. Senior guard who can set, release, and score all in the same breath.

We got Ffrench. Senior point guard with the best ball skills in the league.

We got Ford. New face to this court, but not to the dynamics of basketball.

We got Gillespie. Incoming freshman guard with a shelf full of awards.

We got Gomez. Junior guard that knows every inch of the paint inside, and out.

We got Hutchinson. Powerful center with tremendous shot blocking abilities.

We got Logue. Scored 1,000 points in high school earning first team All-league.

We got Loschiavo. Sophomore forward with great release behind the arc.

We got McDade. Vocal point guard setting up her teammates for the shot.

We got Oyler. Causes great problems for the opponents behind the arc.

We got Pavlovskaya. Senior center with the best facial expressions on the court.

We got Pollock. Can go through the back door all day.

We got Wold. Wold's stance in the paint is unbreakable.

The Saint Joseph's Women's basketball team has leadership, impressive box scores, quickness, endurance, strength, and the appetite for winning. Now is the time to see what they are capable of doing, together.

Due to the overwhelming guard talent in the roster, Head Coach Cindy Griffin will execute a four-guard set. Eight out of the 13 players are quick and reliable guards that will drive the Hawks to postseason appearances.

Last year's trip to the Women's National Invitation Tournament ended too abruptly in the first round lost to Virginia. Finishing the year 20-11, the Hawks graduated two senior threats, Faith Schutte and Maura McBryan. Saint Joseph's also lost Big 5 Rookie of the Year, Hillary Klimowicz. Based on the success of last year's season, the Hawks notched a 4th place seed in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Many say the ranking is too generous. Many say that the Hawks do not have enough bodies to be a threat on the road. Others question the team's presence in the post with no Klimowicz.

The only way to silence these doubts is on the court.

"I am excited about our speed and our quickness," said Griffin. "The reason for the four-guard set is you got to play the kids that will help you. We have eight talented guards that will play. I want them to play."
