Despite a loss last weekend, the St. Joe's rugby team still did just enough to maintain a spot in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

The fell to No. 21 ranked West Chester in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) semifinals, but were able to hang onto the third seed in the area with a 17-10 win over No. 17 ranked Millersville.

Chris Matarangas, '12, and Kieran Carley, '12, scored tries against Millersville.

The Hawks have a break until February, which gives them time to recuperate some of the injuries in the squad. Two wins at Regionals puts them back in the USA?Rugby Sweet 16 in March, which would be the first time in history the team advanced that far in back-to-back seasons.
